H οργάνωση έρευνας και προάσπισης αυτιστικών ατόμων ‘Autism Speaks‘ ανακοίνωσε ότι δέχεται δωρεές και σε Bitcoin. Οι δωρεές θα πραγματοποιούνται μέσω της εταιρείας Bitcoin πληρωμών Bitpay
Autism Speaks is at the forefront of efforts to improve life for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in the United States and around the world. The organization, which recently celebrated its tenth anniversary, works through political advocacy and research collaboration to bring greater understanding of autism’s impact to the scientific community and the general public.
In addition to advocating for this awareness, the organization devotes much of its funding toward global biomedical research into the causes, treatments, and potential cures for autism. It has notably collaborated with Google to launch MSSNG, a campaign to support the development of the world’s largest database of sequenced genomic information on individuals with ASD.
Our platform will provide a new way for the organization’s donors to fund these innovative projects and to aid Autism Speaks in serving individuals and families impacted by the disorder. Bitcoin is mobile, digital, and free of processing fees, lowering the cost and magnifying the effect of each contribution. With an extensive network of nonprofits now using bitcoin for giving and fundraising, Autism Speaks will be joining good company in taking advantage of this technology.
